It’s a shame to see Joey Watson go and for this podcast to get the channel 7 treatment. Disappointed with the new direction and missing Joey’s thoughtful, in-depth storytelling

  • Recorded on ‘Gadigal Land’…..

Good podcast, easy to listen to and fairly informative. However lost me when, at the end of the podcast listeners are told the podcast was recorded on ‘gadigal land’.

    - Firstly what does that even mean?

    - Secondly what relevance does the recording place have to do with the subject matter of the podcast

    - Please stick to delivering podcast in the area you have chosen to talk about, instead of inserting virtue signalling nonsense at the end.

Shall not listen to further podcast if they continue t... more

His parents did all the right things, including seeking help from the police and the AFP, and trusted ‘the authorities’ to help them. It seems like the AFP intentionally targeted and groomed this young child. The young child has been psychologically traumatised.

He was charged with terrorism related charges and is still being dragged through the court system. I work with and know vulnerable children and adu... more

Uncovered | Smuggling out proof of the secret war on Australia's doorstep
Q: Kristo, before we begin with this story of your journey into the mountains of West Papua, can you just tell me about the war, what's going on in West Papua?
West Papua has been in conflict with Indonesia since the late 1960s, with indigenous Papuans resisting occupation and a modern armed wing engaging in guerrilla tactics; the story centers on how this escalated through 2021 with airstrikes and drone usage against villages, and the fight to bring tangible evidence to light.
BONUS | Unveiling the motives behind the Christchurch terrorist’s appeal
Q: How do you think this bid for his freedom would be impacting them?
It profoundly impacts the victims' families and the survivors, making the trauma relive as they hear about him again in the news.
BONUS | Unveiling the motives behind the Christchurch terrorist’s appeal
Q: Can you shed any more light on the conditions that he is facing in prison?
He is in a purpose-built facility within Auckland Prison, and his conditions are a topic that could be discussed further, but he should not have any agency.
BONUS | Unveiling the motives behind the Christchurch terrorist’s appeal
Q: What do you think has motivated this recent quest for freedom?
What's motivated this quest is similar to what motivated him originally to plead not guilty; it was part of a propaganda piece designed for repeated attention.
BONUS | Unveiling the motives behind the Christchurch terrorist’s appeal
Q: Were you surprised at his recent bid to vacate his guilty plea?
There is an element of surprise in that all of a sudden what we are six odd years later, he's piped up again and wanting to change that plea.
