I just started this podcast and a few episodes have done more for me than the entire 20 years I’ve been in therapy. I feel hopeful for the first time in my life and I’m noticing positive change already. I feel like there is the me before this podcast and the me after. Thank you so much XO
Thank you for your way of simplifying things that seem so hard to understand. There are so many valuable gems of insight in these podcast episodes.
This is a show made to help people who are emotionally unhealthy. Keep that in mind when you read the negative reviews. The podcast is 10/10 and agrees with (good) psychologists. It’s heart warming, entertaining, easily understandable and incredibly helpful. If you have had challenges in your personal relationships, you owe it to yourself to listen to this show. Thank you for everything you have done for me, Brian.
To anyone new here, this man saved my life. After almost two and a half years of listening to every single episode he has posted (and oftentimes multiple times), listening to his full fundamentals course multiple times, chewing on things and mulling over things constantly like Brian has talked about doing, and coming at this all with complete humility and genuineness (like the completely broken heart it talks about in Scriptures), I stand before you today a very, very different person from who ... more
Thank you for giving me the information I needed to begin the 12 step process of apologizing to my children. Being an emotionally unhealthy parent has had a long lasting affect. It’s time for me to step up and acknowledge my actions as well as my indifference to their feelings
Brian’s podcast has been a vital element to my recovery in BPD. I wouldn’t have made the progress that I have over the last 9 months if I hadn’t found him! I would highly recommend it to anyone needing guidance to escaping from mental unhealth.
Read over some of the negative and toxic reviews written here and just had to write my own review on Brian’s work. I think these people who leave negative reviews here are not people trying to work on their BPD, or they just simply didn’t pay enough attention for the key takeaways and quickly disregarded it. If you really have BPD (or any emotionally unhealthy aspects in ur life) and suffered enough, you would find this information the most valuable info you could ever find. Im someone who liste... more
This helped me heal from borderline personality disorder and depression, it was more informative than any talk I had with medical professionals or psychologists. I hope that one day this information will be available in more languages, so even more people get the chance to heal. You are doing a geat job, Brian. Sharing the information you gained while healing yourself saved me and makes me able to see life through an other perspective, I am working from a stability I never thought I'd have. I ha... more
The first few episodes are worth listening to, but mid-season 1 until at least season 3 he contradicts himself numerous times and the ‘show’ becomes more about himself and promoting his paid ‘classes’ than about presenting relevant information/stories about emotional health.
Examples:
He says he has ‘authentically recovered from BPD’ yet he clearly displays symptoms and is defensive of any feedback unless it is glowing praise. He claims his paid pre-recorded online courses are ‘thorough’, but ... more
Good information it can help if you are open to listening !
I would recommend this podcast to anyone that has borderline personality disorder or anyone that has a loved one with it. Episodes are packed with practical knowledge and useful and charming antidotes to help illustrate the host’s points (one of my favorites is his story about his hideous toe and shame!)…and occasionally a soothing, twangy song with the host and his guitar, Juanita.
As a parent who has just spent the last year and a half with a child in various stages of the “mental health” sy... more

Once you listen to all of The Last Symptom podcasts or even a few you begin to realise the true roots of your emtional disorder and how far reaching it is in your life. For me and many others listening to TLS has been a real life saver, what Brian Barnett has to say is in no way empty pointless usless infomation like most other sources of infomation ... more
I discovered this podcast exactly a year ago. The amount of progress I have made in one short year is nothing short of incredible. I did it without a therapist and I did it without training manuals or books. I had this podcast, this man and his incredible educational program to help guide me through and navigate this terrible emotional disorder. Previous to discover in his podcast, I was either sad, angry, mad or hopeless on a daily basis. It was rare to find moments of happiness. I hated who I ... more
While reading some of the past reviews about Brian Barnett and his podcast, specifically from those seeking to publicly degrade the value of the content within, belittle his beliefs and opinions, and discredit his work, a quote that I know of came to mind:
“Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds. The mediocre mind is incapable of understanding the man who refuses to bow blindly to conventional prejudices and chooses instead to express his opinions courageou... more
