Have only just started wild swimming and this podcast has inspired me so much, as well as given loads of invaluable tips and safety advice. Love the conversations with the guests, absolutely brilliant! Fascinating and informative. Thank you Pat!!
I’m new to wild swimming, it’s not something I would have ever dreamt of doing, but since the lockdowns and pools closing I had to give it a go. These podcasts are so interesting and inspiring where Pat Kelman interviews a variety of swimmers from different abilities and swimming backgrounds. They make compelling listening, very inspiring and encouraging. Lots of help with advice for newbies. Also very calming too. Thank you Pat
What a breath of fresh air to hear stories from real people. You can sense the genuine passion for swimming from each guest. Well done Pat, you have a great series.
I listen to these podcasts on my walks and every time it makes me want to go swim...even if I’ve only just got out of the water! Listening to people recount their swims/adventures and what they find so attractive about swimming is infectious!
Hearing all the different stories that brought people to swimming is intriguing too; the variety of backgrounds, abilities, the tips, tricks, routines and rituals.
I think it will appeal to “old-timers” and newbies alike...and if you’re wondering “should... more
Loving these podcasts! Highly recommend if you are toying with the idea of cold water swimming as I can guarantee you will feel motivated to try after listening! They’ve all resonated with me (so far, up to no.9) & made me laugh & cry. Pat asks all the questions, myself, as a newbie, wishes to know. I’m feeling so inspired as currently I stay in the shallows, more of a ‘bobber’ than serious swimmer, but I’m going to take lessons next Summer, face my slight fear of sticking my head under & one da... more
I’ve loved listening to these. Everyone’s sea swimming journey is so different and it’s amazing all the different perspectives you get. I’ve been listening to these on my runs and when I’ve been unable to swim a few days because of the weather/commitments and they’ve kept me going.
My task this year is to get back into the water, particularly cold water and wild swimming to help my mental health. Got so much from just the fist podcast can’t wait to listen to more
Listened to the first full length No2. I am a Bexhill Bluetit, and agree with everything that has been said it’s so positive, so healing, so caring, so uplifting. I have lived by the sea for 20plus years and finally immersed my self into this amazing community in 2020, and boy do I wish I’d have done this years ago. You never ever regret a swim xx
