  • Each time I listen I gain a tip or learn

I’m loving this podcast! Each time I listen, every guest has given me a tip, or I’ve learned something new or I’ve just found something interesting to use for my own coaching. The variety of the guests means that each week is different and each week there is something new to engage me!

I’ve changed a few things about how I train myself and am massively motivated as a result!

    Thank you Joe and Helen!

  • Delivering excellence

So interesting to hear about Andi Manley & Loughborough. Coach-ability, receiving feedback, a willingness to learn even when you’re already excellent. Factors all athletes need, even old ones!

So glad Loughborough has halls for athletes as a swimmer in 1981 I really struggled with sleep disturbances & early morning training (& no resident coach)

    Great podcast

    Really informative :)

Q: So did Hector acknowledge your swim at all?
We've been in contact a bit around Windermere. So ahead of his one way swim before he reached out, just ahead of trying his attempt in 2023, because I had the wetsuit record in 2021.

Yes, we never really overlapped in the swimming world too much, but he did reach out ahead of his one-way swim before trying his attempt in 2023.

I studied ecology and conservation biology at the University of Sheffield.

No, actually, I only swam twice a week with the Triathlon Club.

Q: Which do you see as your main discipline?
Definitely coming from a swimming background, I do think it was certainly pool swimming growing up.
