  • I love these interviews!

I have been reading comics for over 45 years now. Growing up in the Bronze Age was such a thrill! So many amazing creators were working on such fantastic books and I truly feel that I was blessed to be there for runs like Moore on "Watchmen", Byrne on "FF", O'Neil on "The Question", and Giffen on "Justice League."

I get the feeling that the hosts of this wonderful podcast are younger than I am, but their knowledge is vast and they do such a fantastic job with their interviews. Often when I... more

  • Insightful interviews

Really enjoy how many creators they have interviews with, they really do let the creators talk about what they want, well styled, and the interviews really do give great perspective.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

One of Us: David Harper | SKTCHD/Off Panel
Q: How did you first discover comics?
Harper describes starting with Transformers and early Marvel Transformer crossovers, noting the joy of collecting and the realization that he loved comics as a medium, which eventually led to deeper involvement in journalism.
Curt Pires | Fireborn
Q: What should fans expect from your upcoming original graphic novel and future projects?
Fans can anticipate a fully painted, high-concept graphic novel with experimental storytelling; I'm pushing beyond traditional formats, while continuing to evolve my voice and maintain the momentum across multiple projects.
Curt Pires | Fireborn
Q: What are your plans for crossovers between Lost Fantasy and Fireborn?
The plans include a carefully orchestrated crossover where leads from both books meet and collide, designed to feel organic rather than a forced event, with both perspectives shown to deepen character arcs and expand the universe.
Curt Pires | Fireborn
Q: What inspired the Fireborn concept and how does it relate to Lost Fantasy?
Fireborn began as a right-sized fantasy-meets-superhero idea, imagining a dragon egg granting powers to a flawed protagonist in New York; it grew out of the Lost Fantasy universe while keeping its own identity, focusing on big, cinematic action balanced with grounded human storytelling.
Curt Pires | Fireborn
Q: How did you get into comics and what were your early influences?
I discovered comics through a doorway moment as a kid when I saw Daredevil Underboss and realized comics could be more than superheroes; that introduction, plus memorable films, sparked a relentless curiosity that eventually pushed me to study and emulate the craft, leading me to self-publish and pursue a creator-owned path.
