  • The ads.

This would be a wonderful show for comic book enthusiasts but the ad breaks make this annoying and unlistenable. The host or guest will be in the middle of a sentence and an ad for AI helping your business will randomly start. As a podcast creator myself I cannot personally imagine polluting my show that I work so hard on with ads to such a degree, both the careless placement and the unbelievable frequency.

  • Wish I could give him 5 stars.

So sad that John and Mark Waid spent the first few minutes of their interview comparing the Trump administration to Waid’s excellent Empire series from a few years ago. A world in which the bad guys won. Give me a break. Your TDS is out of control. It’s nice to have a president that enforces the laws and puts America first. I am certainly going to continue to enjoy the next three years.

  • Ugh. Disappointment

Well…I’ve gone from loving this show, to being a patreon supporter, to not supporting and unfollowing the show.

John has become a disgruntled old man that thinks he knows about modern culture. He refers to himself as “hip.” Not true. He argues with his “friends” about how they talk over him, but all he does is talk over them and get on his soapbox and name drops comic titans. He shares the same stories about how he feels about certain topics on multiple shows, my favorite was when everyone stop... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

LIVE C2E2 Svengoolie and The Sven Squad
Q: How long does it take to put together a show with all the skits and bits?
They explained a typical turnaround of roughly one day to film a movie and assemble segments, with some days extending to a day and a half depending on complexity, plus prep time reading scripts and workshop sessions.
Miss Tessmacher Valerie Perrine RIP
Q: What were the biggest challenges in shaping the film, and how did you decide on the 36-minute length?
Souther discusses balancing depth with pace, licensing and archival hurdles, and choosing a concise runtime to keep the story engaging while ensuring it could reach a wider audience through streaming and educational channels.
David F Walker pt 2
Q: Talk about Big Jim and the White Boy, and why you chose to reimagine Huck Finn from Jim's perspective.
Walker explains that writing from Jim's point of view began as a prose project aimed at recasting the Jim/Huckleberry Finn story within a blaxploitation-influenced framework, then evolving into a graphic novel concept. He discusses balancing fidelity to historical context with a fresh narrative that foregrounds Jim's voice and experience, and he shares how research into Missouri slavery and the border wars informed the adaptation and emotional resonance.
Dan Slott Superman Spider-Man Crossovers FF and More
Q: What should retailers know about Spectacular Spider-Man Brand New Day?
Treat it as a long-term book with a strong, accessible entry point: ensure issues two and three are solidly ordered to keep the ongoing line alive, and leverage its brand-friendly hooks to draw new readers in.
Dan Slott Superman Spider-Man Crossovers FF and More
Q: How did you approach the Spider-Man Noir/1938 Superman crossover concept?
I pitched a Spider-Verse-safe approach by choosing a specific era and pairing Spider-Man Noir with a 1938 Superman to maximize the visual language, using Fleischer-inspired art direction to create an atmospheric, dense narrative that rewards careful readers.
