This show has been great so far but whatever he’s doing with that first story monologue is so cringe and unnecessary to the show please stop
Cringe intro for today's rerun was 8 min and 52 seconds. Then he was back to ramble on again at the end.
I honestly think he loves to hear himself speak. Equally off-putting is the insertion of 2 languages in most episodes, requiring an additional narrator just to translate. Why would anyone need to hear all that? This, together with the poorly written, obviously fictional stories, is just too much. What has happened to the old Spooked?!
There are really good stories out there. I loved Mirror Image very much, and all the powerful stories like that that you’ve told over the years. Some of them are scary, or funny, or sad, and I’m always excited to find out what new stories you have each Friday. Imagine my disappointment, week after week after week, when you just throw out a “classic” episode. Stop. Please, just stop. We want new stories. There are thousands of good stories out there- you don’t need the classic episodes. Please, p... more
This podcast is my pacifier and my ground during times of stress. Glynn Washington is such a fantastic performer, always leaving us with pearls of wisdom along with the scary stories. Without Glynn, I would probably not care too much about this podcast. He is like a wise father telling us how to keep our souls intact and then providing us a storybook before we go to bed. Please be well Glynn. We love you!
This used to be one of my favorite podcasts, but it had just devolved into creepypasta with commercials. There is an episode that just repeats a Reddit post word for word. And all the recent stories are obvious fabulations. I know all of these stories are untrue, but it’s been impossible to suspend disbelief. The lake Lanier episode was clearly a TikTok hoax. And it wasn’t even a good one; it was barely an Unsolved Mysteries segment.
