  • Sometimes less is more

There hosts seem like great people, but, and I know this is a weird critique in an audio medium: they need to shut up sometimes. They have some great creators come on their show and it feels like their interviews very frequently turn into an exercise in telling the creators what they think their work means.

I don’t download and put on an interview with Grant Morrison to hear the podcasts hosts talk over Grant to speculate on what Grant really meant. You’ve got Morrison right there. Let your gue... more

  • Warning: Habit forming!

Brad and Lisa have been my gateway drug to the world of comics and I’m so thankful! Someone once told me the key to a good podcast is that you come for the subject matter but you stay because you want to hang with the hosts. CBCCP exemplifies this!

  • Nonpareil

CBCC Podcast is definitely a unicorn in the comic book, nay, podcast medium. The hosts, Brad and Lisa, are fully committed to this art form, its audience, and its backbone (the publishers and shops). Every episode is an insightful standalone in entertainment and information for a richly diverse medium that doesn’t get the praise it truly deserves. Brad and Lisa have been on a mission to change that narrative. The Book Club has been my favorite segment, providing deep cuts and essential commentar... more
