I was diagnosed with a Kell antibody last week so finding this episode has really helped me understand this disease and what to expect if my baby needs treatment. However the hosts laugh a lot, and at times I have to just take a break from listening because I’m still trying to wrap my head around this, while grieving this sudden change in my pregnancy, and the laughing feels insensitive even though I know they’ve been though it all.
As an Allo mom, this podcast has been so educational and informative! I love learning about the condition, treatments, and new advancements to come. I highly recommend to mothers affected by alloimmunization, nurses, other healthcare providers, and anyone looking to broaden their knowledge! Bethany, Molly, and Katie’s voices are so powerful and peaceful as well. They bring HOPE to this condition!!
Every single episode of The Allo Podcast is packed full of life-saving information and education as well as so much hope and community found with the alloimmunized mothers on the show! From patient, to provider, to friends and family members, everyone can learn so much from the information shared here. Listening to these episodes and stories helped me navigate the challenges of my high risk Alloimmunized pregnancy and the early weeks of having a newborn with HDFN.
I absolutely love this Podcast. I honestly think it’s the best and easiest way for busy moms (and anyone) to learn all about alloimmunization and HDFN. I can’t tell you how impactful it is to feel educated and empowered on these topics and feel knowledgeable when I speak about it.
Hearing stories of other alloimmunized moms has truly given my life these last few weeks. Thank you thank you thank you!!
