Enough said
Very well discussed!
I was hopeful for this series as someone who has studied the American Civil War period for many years. The conversations put forward in the podcast have a few interesting points, but the conversations are not prepared and the historical points are not well covered. As noted in another review here, the comments made that the Trump campaign had no platform in the 2020 election cycle is absurd. The impression I have is that today’s “historians” are poorly educated pretenders.
the fact it takes individual topics in 1864 and shows how it is setting up the endgame of spring of 1865 is brilliant. amazing balance of micro and macro

A standout trait is a willingness to blend military analysis with cultural memory, sometimes prompting lively debates about interpretation and accountabilit... more
