Excellent
Chris, great show, but stop whispering!!! Listen back to one of your shows.
Best Civil War podcast out there. Always an enjoyable listen
Love it when the guest stick to civil war history and information. Not so good when the quest feel the need to preach their personal views relating to current events
Often there is way too much focus on the presenter(s) and not enough on the subject. A good example is the episode on the new book about Pelham. This is the fault because of the questions asked.

This show delivers expert historical analysis of America's defining conflict through interviews with historians, authors, and curators who illuminate lesser-known figures, pivotal battles, and enduring memory of the Civil War. Episodes often center on biographical deep-dives, battlefield studies, memory and monuments, and the ethics of historical interpretation, with a balance of military history, political context, and cultural resonance. A notable strength is the lineup of guests who bring rigorous scholarship and unique archival insight, plus frequent focus on underexplored topics and regional histories, making it appealing to serious history listeners and professionals pitching guests or sponsorships to a history-focused audience.
