Making Promo Programs Supplier-Friendly with Eric Granata with PromoPilot
Q: How should a company structure its tech stack to support program orders end-to-end?
A practical stack includes an e-commerce front-end (Shopify, WooCommerce), an OMS/ERP like NetSuite or OrderDesk, and integration with promo-standards for shipping and tracking, plus optional BI/PIM tools to manage product data and ensure data cleanliness across feeds.
Making Promo Programs Supplier-Friendly with Eric Granata with PromoPilot
Q: What do you see as the main pain points for small suppliers under ten million in revenue when it comes to program automation?
Smaller suppliers struggle with automating a high mix of low-volume orders, order accuracy, and integrating with distributors' systems. They need clear program data, streamlined proofs, and a simple tech stack so orders, proofs, and tracking can all flow without manual bottlenecks.
Building a Promo Brand That Distributors Trust: Positioning, Pricing & Platform Strategy
Q: How important is internal dedication to the promo market within a brand?
Having someone internally dedicated to the market is crucial; it ensures partners are supported, challenges are addressed, and the brand rides along inside the channel to deliver consistent service and avoid being neglected.
Building a Promo Brand That Distributors Trust: Positioning, Pricing & Platform Strategy
Q: Tell us about your initial journey into the promo market and your first steps.
We fell into the market somewhat organically, starting with customers who loved our products and asked for decoration ideas for gifting. After realizing there was more to do than simply slapping a logo, we researched and decided to pursue the promo space, bringing in a partner strategy before committing fully.
Marketing Noise vs Marketing Results with guest Gloria Lafont: What Promo Distributors Miss
Q: How important is data and analytics in this process?
Data and analytics are central: use Google Analytics and CRM dashboards to track traffic, conversions, and lifetime value of clients, then optimize campaigns based on those KPIs rather than impressions alone.
