  • This podcast is everything it promises. I am ripping through the previous episodes. I am putting the pieces together for my Etsy shop and I get something from almost every ep. Lizzie is religious. I am not. I'm surprised that this doesn't make me crazy. This says a lot about her shoe!

  • Etsy wasn’t made for this.

This podcast makes me so angry. It’s exactly what is wrong with Etsy today. Instead of being about people who have genuine, new ideas, it encourages people to copy what’s popular and make as much money from cheap junk as possible.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ep 230 | How Etsy Sellers Are Getting Free Traffic From the Media -with Gloria Chou
Q: Can Gloria explain why the next six months are critical for PR and visibility in the AI era?
Gloria emphasizes that this window is when editors are actively curating content and AI systems are weighting recent, trusted third-party coverage; securing features now compounds over time as AI surfaces these trusted sources.
Ep 193 | Print on Demand Power Hour with Cassiy Johnson⁩ (Your Questions Answered)
Q: Could you do both digital products and print on demand in the same shop?
Generally not recommended; it's better to keep them in separate shops unless the audience overlaps strongly to avoid confusing customers and dilute focus.
Ep 227 | Squirrel Syndrome Can Lead to Massive (Repeated) Etsy Success -with Hanna McComish
Q: What tips would you give to someone starting out?
Be consistent with something, focus on learning the core skills (keywords, listing optimization, and customer connection), and avoid spreading yourself too thin across platforms. Build a catalog of listings that sell, then expand deliberately using data-driven decisions.
Ep 224 | She Succeeded FAST in Etsy's "Saturated" Candle Niche
Q: What practical tactics would you recommend to someone starting now?
List often, test variations (titles, thumbnails, SEO), consider repositioning existing listings with new callouts, and lean into non-toxic and high-quality messaging in about sections to build trust.
Ep 224 | She Succeeded FAST in Etsy's "Saturated" Candle Niche
Q: What caused your fast surge in sales after a slow start?
Increasing active engagement, listing frequently, and refining SEO and product positioning to align with what buyers search for drove the momentum, not just having a good product.
