Q: How did you feel respected and seen by all the bigwigs on Bay Street when you were running the Economic Club as a woman?
In the early years, I felt very much looked over and looked past. There were specific instances where executives assumed I was support staff rather than the one running the organization. It took perseverance and support from mentors to gain recognition.

Q: Can you give me an example of a fear that you had to acknowledge and overcome?
One of the things that I talk about a lot publicly is financial trauma. I grew up in a household where there was a lot of pain, and money seemed to be at the crux of some of this.
