  • I’m one of your loyal female listeners

Sam, thank you for what you said about checking your guests against the Epstein files. I’ve listened to your show for years now. I think you both have such valuable insights into entrepreneurship, business, adding meaningful talent to the world and growing wealth. I was stopped in my tracks, though when Shaan chastised you, Sam for caring about the Epstein files and talking to “nobody’s”. Initially, it sounded like you didn’t care about who was in the Epstein files… I know that can’t be true (... more

  • Episode “Steph Smith: This oportunity is totally overlooked” is from over a year ago

Not sure when the original episode was posted, but I started listening to this and recognized it instantly from a podcast. They did a long time ago. If you’re gonna repost content, at least be upfront about it and not try to sneak it in or repackage it.

  • I’m not your target market, but I love y’all anyway

I find Sam and Shaan’s banter to be one of the best in podcasting. I’ve been a podcast listener for 10 years, mostly business oriented ones specifically for women. But I was always missing that effortless enjoyment of actual business. The hard numbers, the opinionated takes. My favorite episodes are just Sam and Shaan but I have loved some of their guests too. They make me feel like I’m a part of their world when I’m obviously not as a biracial 35 year old woman. Great show y’all and appreciate ... more

This guy built a $1B+ brand in 3 years. The product? You'd never guess
Q: What are the inputs necessary to get to $100 million in revenue for an e-com brand in three years?
A strong product in a white-space category, a new or transformed format that creates a new category, and a clear differentiator; then scale through a systematic approach to marketing, retention, and a highly capable, empowered team aligned to a long-term CAC/LTV target.
We asked a $18.9B Investor how to survive the AI bubble
Q: Where do you see opportunity, destruction, and overhype in AI?
Opportunities lie in the infrastructure and use-case layers, while the apps layer is where hype runs high; the moat will come from unique data, strong customer interfaces, and the ability to execute across many rollups with a superior team.
DHH: $100M+ Advice That'll Piss Off Every Business Guru
Q: What role did openness and learning from early missteps play in their success?
Early openness about philosophy and principles, plus willingness to learn from mistakes (e.g., misjudgments about platforms like Facebook), reinforced a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement rather than perfectionism.
DHH: $100M+ Advice That'll Piss Off Every Business Guru
Q: How do they view data versus intuition in decision-making?
They value data and rigor but ultimately trust their intuition and real-world outcomes, using numbers to validate decisions after acting rather than driving actions exclusively by the data.
This guy names billion dollar brands for a living, here’s his exact 3-step formula.
Q: Can you walk through a concrete example of changing a name and the impact it had on market performance?
Changing Codium to Windsurf dramatically improved searchability and branding, helping the product gain rapid traction and become a recognizable brand in its category; this shows how a well-chosen name can unlock retailer interest and consumer discovery in a short window.
