Sean Conroy Gets Happier is a curious exploration of the art and science of happiness. As a comedian, Sean Conroy has spent his entire career trying to make other people happier. He's experienced everything from crackerjack, blockbuster, mega-hit success to incredible, amazing, life- changing success. In fact, the only person he hasn't managed to make happier is himself! Now he's trying to figure ... more

The light at the end of the merry-go-round stops by to tell Sean about working from home (the new "workscape"), comfortable couches, and how to survive a pandemic by pretending you live in the Cineramadome.
Sean takes a trip into the past: a bus ride, staying up all night, an amusement and water park, another amusement and water park, the Champ, the Bounty Hunter, the President, a tram, and deep disappointment in the lobby (?) of a rest stop in South Je... more
Janet Varney gives Sean some helpful tips about why it's worthwhile to find gluten-free bakeries, the cost of vintage clothing in Copenhagen, and how easy it is to steal a somewhat offensive idea and create Disneyland.

Sean Conroy doesn't always sound happy. Nor does he necessarily seem happier from one podcast to the next. But listening to Sean makes me happier, and I suspect he actually is a bit happier as well. I can relate. He's funny, quick witted and kind. It's not surprising he's kind, but his occasionaly ascerbic wit belies his generosity. As Sean is so forthcoming, I feel I know him. I used to work w/ and am friendly w/ his occasional cohort Eddie Pepitone, so it makes me feel I know Sean a bit... more
Good content. I recommend it.
Sean started this podcast before we all got locked down but it’s the perfect listen now. Charming, low-key interviews with funny, interesting people, woven together with wit that’s cutting but kind.
I don't know if Sean will ever get happier but it's fun to listen to him try. He's brought on experts, comedians, gurus, etc. Sean's interview style gets deep but still makes fun of itself. I'm happier listening to this podcast.
I've been a fan of Sean's for over a decade now, and a super-fan of his previous show The Long Shot Podcast that came to an end last year. Eddie Pepitone, a former LOSHOPO member even makes an appearance in episode three. more
