The episode titled “PhD update: How to cope with…” there is absolutely no coping advice. The episode is all over the place like listening to that girl you don’t want to be stuck with at a party (SNL skit). She yawns loudly, she really is lost.
Malo lava Amy - am loving these podcasts, especially merging the traditional Samoan context with modern day knowledge. Highly recommended podcast for those emerging in STEM, young (or old!) Samoan/Pacific wherever you are in the world, and also those who are just interested in understanding the traditional diet in the South Pacific. Too good!
A very refreshing show in a world which often frames science and indigenous people as incompatible, stereotypical binaries. Amy’s story is a powerful reminder that science is for anyone with a passion for learning, and that there’s always room to grow! Love the diverse range of guests who highlight the richness, resonance, and variety of experiences & values across the Pacific Island communities.
