  • Thoughtful Content

Wes is easily able to be relatable with his guests, as a witness himself, which makes him an exceptional interviewer. He isn’t in a hurry and makes people seem at ease. He’s an Everyman sort of guy, and not a showman. I find this pod to be the most candid and engaging about Squatch, and draws me in instead of trying to be sensational.

  • The dean of Bigfoot podcasters 🫈

Wes is the dean of Bigfoot podcasters. Now Wes did not invent the Bigfoot podcast, but he perfected it.

But I wish he would return to the longer episode format. I miss those.

  • Guests go on an on a lot

I like the show but it’s about 50/50 hit and miss with guests. I find myself bailing on episodes about 8/10 times lately. They guest comes on.

Host- “Hey so I understand you saw something while out hunting, can you tell us about that?”

Guest- “Yes, so I was born in 1967 and (proceeds to go i to excruciating detail of their whole life up to the encounter for the next 50 minutes)”

SC EP:1243 I saw something I'll never forget
Q: Do you think Sasquatch could be involved, given the mane and the described features?
The description overlaps with various cryptid rumors, including dogman or a Sasquatch with a mane; I'm not certain, but the mane and eyes keep recurring in my mind, suggesting a complex mix of possibilities.
SC EP:1245 The Juvenile Playing On My Tree Stand
Q: Do you think the creature's behavior was aggressive during the retreat, or was it more of a display?
It seemed unsettling and borderline aggressive—like it was trying to prove I wasn't welcome and that it could take me out if it wanted, but it didn't rush or physically attack in a way that would have caused serious harm.
SC EP:1230 Chased out of our campsite
Q: What's your take on what Sasquatch is?
I believe they might be some kind of something in the Homo lineage and possess some form of psychic occurrence.
SC EP:1230 Chased out of our campsite
Q: What do you think the intention was?
I don't think that my life was in danger; they probably chased us out of there because we were in their territory.
SC EP:1233 The Chronicles Of Tex Part1
Q: What have you learned over the last 10 or 12 years of looking for these things, and what has kind of surprised you?
Tex explains that these creatures are not evil and have not harmed him, emphasizing that many are intelligent and live among us.
