I applaud the host for his intentions to bring awareness to the mental health issues. I listened to him since the very beginning. Unfortunately I have to disagree with his Catholic Theology. He merges liberal views with some aspects of the faith to avoid telling viewers the full truth. This is seen specially in issues around gender dysphoria.
I thank him for his efforts but know that his view is just that his view and that he does not represent a true Catholic view in specific issues.
Tommy Tighe helps flesh out the idea that God and the Church calls us to greater spiritual, mental and physical health. I especially love that he helps sort out what may be mental suffering from what is willful behavior. A grounded, funny and merciful voice! Thanks Tommy!
This podcast has been a help, encouragement and blessing to me. Thank you for your work.
Episodes are refreshingly brief but full of helpful information and a caring response to the personal situation at hand. It reminds me to be sensitive to others’ struggles. Whether I know about those specifically or not, I can lead with kindness and give people grace. I love that he provides the opportunity to join in prayer for those suffering. As a bonus, each episode teaches me about a (new to me) saint and his/her inspirational story.
I’m new to the Church (5 months) and new to SDP. I’m so glad I found this helpful soul who lets me know it’s ok to struggle with anxiety and panic attacks while being Catholic. I’m grateful to be a part of the community 🙏🏻
