After many years of ragequitting Tolkien podcasts hosted by ill informed white Christian men, this podcast feels like chugging an ice cold Gatorade on a hot day. Their in-depth discussions of Tolkien from a queer point of view have me crying, laughing, and pounding the steering wheel in agreement. HIGHLY recommend.
This is the best cultural analysis podcast I have heard. The hosts have the best Tolkien chops of any podcast I have yet listened to and they bring an intellectually rigorous approach to both the Tolkien legendarium and queer theory in a way that is both accessible and empathetic. Extremely knowledgeable hosts providing fresh perspectives. Am finding it a wonderful companion to the Prancing Pony Podcast.

This is a really needed and u... more

(I actually did enjoy Rings of Power quite a bit, and it’s been interesting to try and analyze why I do, and why others don’t, as someone who’s pretty new to all of thi... more
