I'm loving this podcast!!! The host offers insightful advice and information that is helpful to anyone that listens!
As a 2nd year pre-vet student, I struggle with thinking I’m going to be good enough for vet school. Or good enough to be a vet. But it’s my passion and it’s been my passion for years. This podcast inspires me because it’s a reminder that all these vets made it without being perfect. I love knowing that I’m not the only aspiring vet with anxiety and depression. But also it gives good tips on keeping a balanced life during all the chaos of pursuing veterinary medicine. Thank you for everything you... more
Hearing other vets talk about what they go through rather than keeping your one perspective in mind helps open up many avenues. One of my favorites.
Love this podcast. Interviews are easy to listen to, entertaining, educational and motivational!
As an aspiring veterinarian I find this show to be an incredible source of information and inspiration.
I truly believe this podcast is amazing! I am an aspiring veterinarian and have found that listening to all these stories, thus far, has helped shaped my perspective of veterinary medicine. I’ve shared this with many of my friends in vet school and ones wanting to go to vet school! I think everyone who enjoys veterinary medicine should listen to this because it’s a fun way to learn everything that goes into taking care of our furry friends! I look forward to every episode.
John does a tremendous job at connecting with his guests on a personal and human level that speaks beyond those solely in the veterinary community. Definitely worth listening to!
Dr. John Arnold helps paint a realistic picture of life as a veterinarian, as a student, and as part of the support staff of a veterinary hospital. He brings out the best is his guests and is helping to bring the community together. I hope this podcast lasts for a very long time.
Dr John Arnold is great to listen to and can clearly make his guest feel at ease. The podcast features great conversations even though I am not a vet. It’s very polished and has a wide appeal.
Love this podcast, I listen to it while walking my dog. I’m a British Vet student in the UK so find the American system soooo interesting! It would be so cool if you could get an British vet/vet student and compare how their experiences differ :)
Dr. Arnold is a master conversationalist and facilitates the most wonderful stories in this podcast. He makes the veterinary lifestyle more accessible to listeners and allows for the space to speak about challenges and successes in the field. Hi from UCVM in Calgary!
As a fellow veterinary podcaster (Veterinary Viewfinder) I really appreciate Dr. Arnold's listening skills and how he deeply cares for his guests and takes the time to understand them, their passions, and the unique story that has helped define them and what they value in veterinary medicine. A kind person, very dedicated to lifting his profession up.
I'm an avid podcast listener, and am always searching for podcasts with longer episodes so I can get to know the interviewer, the guest and really get in-depth insight into the speaker and topic. John chooses people from all walks of veterinary life, and gets their perspective on their journey... The themes that come out of those conversations are applicable to us all, and his podcasts really normalize my struggles, so I don't feel like I'm out on an island. Relaxed, funny, authentic and earne... more
Love listening to the show. I am a vet tech and appreciate hearing stories from other corners of the veterinary world. Dr. Arnold is a great host and seems to have some incredible friends.
Love that Podcast a Vet presents real takes on all aspects of the vet industry. As a pre-vet student, hearing the stories and journies of other medical professionals keeps me inspired and driven to pursue my dreams. Loving listening every week!
