  • I wanted to like this

I wanted to like this podcast. It has the potential to be great. However, the constant background noise of drinking, eating, the IUMMMS, the pauses, repetitiveness in sentences and just being all over the place makes it hard to follow and enjoy. It’s like you just turn on your mic and just talk as you go. Not proper research and practice. So annoying!

  • Good stories, but hard to follow

The stories are good, but it’s really hard to follow because you’re all over the place sometimes. Maybe if you just focused on telling the story a little bit more your podcast will be a little bit better.

What gets me is the constant UMMMs, the smacking, the stuttering and stumbling over words. In one episode it sounded like you started chewing on ice or eating chips. It’s very distracting. I’m kinda upset because i wanted to love this pod as all caught up with old episodes of SWK and needed something else to binge. I see the vision , if you could just clean it up a bit , ... more

  • Addicted!

I am all about the BTCC(Black True Crime Collective) and when I came across this podcast, I knew I’d hit another gold mine. I enjoy your presentation method. Not only do I find it insightful (because I’ve never heard of a lot of these guys) but it makes the time pass at work. Keep it up!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Peeler "I am my brother's keeper"
Q: What's the Ick for you?
The brothers were incredibly treacherous, showing no mercy in their actions.
NMBK ft Precious Gibson
Q: What do you think Black true crime has to do to push forward to get to that forefront and get more people active on listening to our stories?
Just keep putting out, just keep being consistent. I saw one of the ladies from another podcast I've listened to, I think it's called like, It's Not Black and Missing, Good Girl, Black Girl Gone. That's what it's called.
Micheal Williams & Mavis Christian Jr
Q: If Mavis would have stopped at the ex-wife if he would have got her first?
The host speculates that if Mavis would have killed the ex-wife first, he might not have killed anyone else.
