I’ve been listening a while and I love the growing and consistency . Think ur in your sweet spot 🫶🏾
I just listened to The house in crescentville. The storytelling is top notch!
I absolutely enjoy listening to this podcast while driving down the roads I travel. I also appreciate the fact that there is no foul language like other podcasts, it’s refreshing! Keep it up SistA 👍🏽🫡🌺
I’m a true crime fan and I follow and listen because I want to support other black women. The only issue I have is the the way the stories are read. It’s doesn’t seem natural and there’s a lot of misplaced pauses and inflections on words that don’t seem to make sense to me. I usually speed up the audio to make it tolerable. I commend the effort and longevity though.
Unfortunately I’m unfollowing. You literally copy and paste other black true crime podcast episodes as your own. U listen to them a week prior and cover the very same case the following week. Unoriginal do better. E.g SWK recorded an episode about U’Dreka on 2/7 here it is 3/6 and you all post her story as well!

The show centers on true crime narratives within Black communities, with MD providing legal context and Steph detailing victims and case specifics. Episodes emphasize rigorous research, respectful storytelling, and uncovering lesser-known cases, often linking patterns across investigations and exploring the impact on families and communities. A notable strength is how the hosts blend legal analysis with empathetic narrative, creating a steady, information-rich listener experience that often includes updates on related cases and real-time developments. The format and focus likely appeal to listeners who want thorough, community-centered crime storytelling with thoughtful commentary rather than sensationalism.
