When a podcast’s first episode is telling you all about how this is a wrongful conviction before even laying out the basic facts of the case, you know it’s trash. The interpretation and analysis should come after presenting the evidence, allowing listeners to form their own interpretation. This felt incredibly heavy-handed, more like a release from the guy’s legal team than anything else. The writer here needs to be less obvious with their agenda

This podcast was a prime example of everything that is wrong with wrongful conviction podcasts. Had Maggie approached this case objectively rather than assuming David’s innocence, she’d have a bit more credibility, and I wouldn’t be here giving a negative review.
