Just when we thought the biggest drama around the chess world was reserved for a 1980s British mega-musical about US/Soviet Cold War relations, along comes a bunch of tech bros at Chess.com to steal the crown. Apparently winning at chess online can l... more

I like that it’s got a bit of humour (without being disrespectful of victims). It makes it a better bedtime listen than some that are a bit darker. Can’t give them 5 stars because of the snake oil sponsors. Which seems at odds with their values but they have dogs and a child to feed so I get it. I really would urge fat people to take care listening. Lots of fatphobic comments.
I also wish they wouldn’t assume something is bad or wrong just because it isn’t how things are done in America. The mak... more
Listening to this podcast has become exhausting. It doesn’t bring me joy anymore. In my opinion, there are way better true crime podcasts than this one.
I love the old banter - lately I feel like Patrick can’t say a darn thing right. It’s like being on a date with another couple where everything the other partner says gets questioned, corrected, or “what do you mean by that?”. A healthy dose of pushback is great, but this gets exhausting to listen to. It just seems lately that Gillian desires to be right/ have a soapbox; more than she desires a partnership.
I love this podcast! It’s the perfect amount of comedy mixed with snarky complaints that I never knew I needed. I highly recommend it!
Can’t get through an episode because of the hosts doing an aside every 10 seconds. Just tell the story.
