Always interesting and entertaining. Megan seems too smart for Neil, but that is part of the fun. Neil is not quite the dunderhead he (hopefully) pretends to be, otherwise Megan is truly a saint. Look forward every week to their thoughtful cases.
This is in response to what language a multilingual person think in. It depends on the situation. My first language is Cantonese but I grow up in America for many years so my dominant language is English. I find myself interchange between the two languages regularly. When I speak in English I think in English, when I speak in Chinese I think in Chinese. I even dream interchangeably, sometimes I dream in English sometimes in Chinese. The number of times I genuinely crack up laughing per episode alone is enough for 5 stars, the well researched content and amazing chemistry between Neil and Megan is almost an added bonus! I listen to ALOT of podcasts and hearing cases I have never heard before is so refreshing and thrilling. As an American I find the combo of Neil’s Yorkshire accents and colloquialisms with Megan’s Irish accents sooo funny. These two remind me of Emma and Dan (RIP) from Real Life Ghost Stories a lot. I love this podcast so much I’ve bought tickets to CrimeCon to go and shake Megan’s hand for putting up with Neil’s gormless responses!! And for not losing her liquid when he said a ginger baby is a mixture of a blonde and a brunette!!! Hilarious. Love the mixture of your accents and your banter. A perfect true crime pod! Thank you. 5🌟
I’m so glad I found this show, because it makes me happy and distracts me from life it’s that good. Megan is so sharp and funny, and Neil is the perfect person for her to tell stories to, with his humor and confusion! Neil’s Nuggets are fantastic. Added MM to my Patreon about a week after first finding them. I also love Megan’s brogue and Neil when he goes full Sheffield 😁 definitely give this a shot, you’ll most likely love it too!
