  • Quantumland episode is exciting

Such an inspiring discussion! Imagining the possibilities and creating the future. Relationality that is quantitatively describable. One interesting point: UMKC, where much of MMT was developed, had interdisciplinary social science seminars where the strengths and weaknesses of critical realism, pragmatism, hermeneutics were debated. I think it is significant.

  • Most of these Podcasts are very informative and interesting, and I would give 5 stars but anything with Natalie Smith in is not listenable to. Such a shame.

  • A Cherished Hate-Listen

Worst podcast I’ve ever listened to, but it does bring me back once in a while for my Ninety Minutes of Hate. Despite hating most other people on the left and most movies (because the Jedi don’t use MMT or whatever), they bizarrely seem to adore the awful Disney+ Marvel shows. It’s been a few months so I wonder if that host who laughs obnoxiously at everything she says is still on…

The New Postcolonial Economics with Fadhel Kaboub (New Art & Transcript!)
Q: Can you walk us through what it might look like for a country that is heavily indebted, has a weak productive infrastructure, is not, as you say, sovereign in food and or energy?
A strategic economic development approach involves investing in renewable energy, sustainable food policies, and education to reclaim monetary sovereignty and address external debt challenges.
The Radical Potential of Consumer Financial Protection with Vijay Raghavan
Q: How did you come to the legal paradigm around money associated with scholars in the law and political economy movement?
I started reading scholars who had a more critical approach to the law and its impact on economic inequality, which helped frame my own arguments about the failures of consumer financial protection.
The Radical Potential of Consumer Financial Protection with Vijay Raghavan
Q: Could you tell us a little bit about your professional and personal background?
I am a lawyer by training who transitioned into advocacy and academia after feeling disillusioned with my conventional law career, especially regarding tax law, and wanting to help address the issues arising from the financial crisis.
The Black University and Community Currencies, Pt. 1
Q: How do we know that MMT is what's actually happening?
The digitization of money, exemplified by Bitcoin, simplifies discussions on money creation, highlighting that money design can be inclusive and democratic rather than confined to traditional methods.
Gaming Money with Raúl Carrillo
Q: What regulatory guidelines could potentially address issues in gaming economies?
Regulatory solutions could involve rate controls, money laundering identification requirements, and proposing a new approach that moves away from traditional categorization of banking entities.
