At 13, Gina Rinehart read a book that would help shape her worldview – Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged. The novel’s capitalist underpinnings promote the idea that people should strive to be their best industrial selves. In this episode, we explore how thes... more

As hard a listen this is due to the truly sad fate of Bruno and Dom, the message is such an important one to carry forward. Not only for the people who fight day to day and risk their lives to protect the Amazon but the understanding that, globally, we should all be aware of the grave importance of protecting the forest for the planet both now and for generations ahead of us.
I’ve been very moved listening to the story of Bruno and Dom and their family and friends.
I had the pleasure to visit part of the Rio Amazona many years ago and I saw the destruction that loggers and illegal farmers have caused to the sacred Amazon forest and its inhabitants, people and animals alike.
This story of courage love and righteousness from Bruno Dom etc. is potent and inspiring.
I hope and fear at the same time but I ultimately believe that their sacrifice won’t haven been for nothin... more
I enjoyed missing in the Amazon a lot. Thank you very much! Great insights into the topic and great way of reporting.
I saw this on a Best of 2025 so far list and two minutes in I knew I’d be bingeing this today. Fantastic reporting and story
telling of a topic that anyone who gives a damn about this planet, who is afraid of Nationalist politics and the horrid way that indigenous peoples are
discounted around the entire globe needs to hear. Thank you for being brave enough to tell this story.
The Black Box series was incredibly well done. A very good work of journalism. I just have to say that hearing that people feel, adults feel that they lost something when Replica, the company, changed their training sets for the sake of children, that's simply what has to be done. Your pleasures as an adult with these systems is not worth the risk or damage that could be done to children. Bottom line.
