There’s not enough empathy for the biological mother either, although... more
I have listened to most of the Tortoise Investigates series and enjoyed them, so giving less than 4 stars feels unfair. I particularly enjoyed Sweet Bobby, The Tavistock, The Walkers, Dangerous Memories and Lucky Boy.
However, as others have said, I found Foundling uncomfortable listening as it invades the privacy of way too many vulnerable people. I really struggled to see what the public benefit was and it didn’t feel right to listen to Jess’s story as entertainment. I listened to the whole s... more
This was a very well researched podcast. It was so interesting, and heartbreaking as well. What a strong woman
What a sad story for Jess, my heart breaks for her having been let down again and again. She’s an incredibly brave woman and I hope she find some peace.
This should have been an interesting story, but it just isn’t. Plain dull. This is a 10 minute segment on Unsolved Mysteries.

This podcast intricately examines the story behind Raynor Winn's bestselling memoir 'The Salt Path', which captivated audiences with its themes of struggle, healing, and nature. The investigation, led by reporter Chloe Hadjimatheou, questions the authenticity of Winn's narrative, exploring the discrepancies and hidden narratives that undermine the romanticized tale of resilience presented in the memoir. As revelations unfold regarding financial deceit and complex family dynamics, the podcast challenges listeners to discern truth from embellishment, deepening the conversation on the responsibilities of authors and the truthfulness in memoir writing. With a mix of emotional family testimonies and poignant storytelling, it addresses significan... more
