Great writing great storytelling. Some of the guests are really hard to listen to, though. Especially the current one (Jordan?), cackling endlessly in the background at his own jokes or aspects of the story that aren’t really particularly funny. And don’t get me started on Prop… Completely vapid and unfunny in his endless riffs that add absolutely nothing to the experience…Edit for Himmler episodes. I wanted to listen, but I had to stop because of Prop’s annoying presence
The subject matter is so interesting and I would love to get through an episode without rage quitting due to the incessant banter. Makes it unlistenable and I’ve given up!
Left wing gun nut and LeBron apologist have smart, cool people on to talk about the worst people ever. It’s fantastic. 🫡
Very solid classics, well worth a listen. A shame about the frequent ads though. Understandably gotta earn some money, but isn't there a way to avoid having them in the middle of episodes?
I listen to this for years now! This is the best history podcast out there. Love Robert. Love Sophie and all the great guests.
