The MAGA media is running with the President's theory that the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville in 2017 wasn't real. That's offensive to anyone with a solid relationship with reality, but it's especially hurtful for the guys who worked very h... more

There's so many ads and Molly is kind of condescending to her audience sometimes but her research is top knotch and it's great to someone lifting up the rocks and exposing all the worms to the light
Every Thursday I look forward to opening podcasts and seeing weird little guys in my feed. Molly is such an amazing researcher and writer. I love how deep she goes into the research, and every side quest story she finds. I need someone to clone her so that we can have more than 1 episode per week!
A favourite.
I love the subject matter and the thorough research, but the pace is way too slow. The host also spends a lot of time talking about herself. Her and her process are not uninteresting, but cut back on it, please.
Very little is covered in each episode. Very slow pacing and not informative, not a deep dive, just empty 45 min episodes. Gave this pod a try during a dry spell of actually historically and politically informative podcasts and it was a waste of time. The host gets a reputation for being a leftist and there is utterly nothing discernibly political or left about the eps I tried

A weekly deep-dive into the origins and activities of modern American white supremacist groups, blending archival research, legal context, and long-form storytelling. Episodes center on investigations, court cases, and the personal journeys of those documenting extremist movements, often weaving in historical parallels and moral reflections. The show is noted for meticulous research, quiet urgency, and a willingness to tackle uncomfortable subjects head-on, making it a go-to for listeners seeking clarity about fringe networks and the people behind them. A standout trait is the solo-host, research-driven approach that treats history like a suspenseful mystery rather than a conventional news recap, with strong emphasis on context, documentati... more
