Emerging from affinities with post-structuralism, abolitionism, biopolitics, communism, critical metaphysics, critical mysticism, and ontological anarchy, Acid Horizon is a philosophy and theory podcast committed to thought in motion and political struggle. While these are our grounding currents, each episode opens out onto a wider constellation: ethics, politics, phenomenology, decolonial thought... more

Being honest, quite a bit of the content goes above my head as someone only just venturing into philosophy etc but it doesnt stop me from listening. I’m a depth psychology and so have particularly enjoyed the episodes about James hillman.
literally has woman expert on, asks her an overly detailed (non-conversational) question, then doesn’t let her answer. talks on and on and on in theory dude speak AT her for 10 mins. the person who literally wrote the book on it sits in silence. the topics are so interesting! i’d saved so many to my queue, and was looking forward to it, and this man is well read, he should know better! but no, he does not — so, unfollow, remove all from queue until this man learns to talk WITH people, women, esp... more
I can’t stick with this anymore; I’m sorry. The guests aren’t really experts in anything anymore; the audio quality is rough on the ears, and the tone is very smug and self-satisfied. I’m feeling pushed to become more conservative by this programming which kind of freaks me out but that’s just because it’s so abrasively egotistical.
I especially love when acid horizon invites voices that are less represented in the world of philosophy podcasts! 😉
Keep up the great work! (If you feel like it and if you have the capacity. It’s also fine to rest or pursue other projects. 🍞🌹)
I enjoy this podcast. One thing I wish they would do more - when reading a quote, please offer an explanation of what the quote is saying after reading it. Often quotes from D&G or whoever it is have lots of unfamiliar terms and concepts, so those of us who are less familiar with these works would benefit from a little more unpacking of these concepts.
