  • A renewing experience

Listening to Raghu's discussions is a renewing and battery recharging experience. When he interviewed on my own podcast, Raghu brought that same great spirit and energy that he brings forth here.

  • Didn’t listen to guest

I found this podcast by searching the name of the guest because other interviews with her were really profound. I understand that the host and guest have some shared history, but the host was just interested in promoted his agenda and he kept glazing over her comments and ignoring the fact that the guest’s new book is a really incredible contribution to the world. Disappointing.

  • Episode 573: Post-Truth World

Longtime fan of yours and the network. Attended Ram Dass’s memorial service in Maui. This was my first episode after not listening for a while. This was the most depressing, resentment-filled, and politically biased thing I have ever heard from BHN. Guest did not come off as a spiritually aware person in the least. Appreciated your attempt to bring some levity. Hoping this was just a fluke. “Wrong Story” indeed.

This was a very enjoyable episode with interesting give and take between the participants. I remember clearly Ram Dass’ mentioning in his writings intending to attend a Moody Blues Concert. They too were ever in search of the Lost Chord.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ep. 644 – You Are Enough: Recognizing Our Basic Goodness with Lodro Rinzler
Q: So Lodro, what sparked the focus on basic goodness in your latest book, and how has your personal journey informed that message?
My own upbringing in a Tibetan Buddhist environment made wakefulness and inherent worth a given; recognizing basic goodness became a practical practice I could point to in daily life, especially when doubt or social conditioning tries to convince us we're not enough.
Ep. 640 – The Man Who Saves the World? With Patrick McCollum & Gabe Polsky
Q: How did the collaboration with Jane Goodall come about and what did her involvement mean for the project?
Jane Goodall's involvement lent extraordinary credibility and a mystical seal of approval that Patrick is indeed an extraordinary person. Her endorsement helped anchor the film in a way that balances science, spirituality, and storytelling, making the narrative more accessible to broad audiences.
Ep. 640 – The Man Who Saves the World? With Patrick McCollum & Gabe Polsky
Q: Gabe, what drew you to make a film about Patrick and this prophecy?
I sat with Patrick's life and the extraordinary experiences he's faced, realizing there was a resonance between his story and a larger, spiritual prophecy. The journey to India and the Amazon became a compelling arc that could translate into a film that's both intimate and expansive.
Ep. 638 – Zen Mind Jewish Mind with Rabbi Rami Shapiro
Q: Can you tell the story of your encounter with Sasaki Roshi and what that taught you?
Rami recounts his Koan-like interaction with Sasaki Roshi, including the famous moment of the stick koan, the abrupt physical correction, and how the experience revealed the limits of ego and the depth of non-dual realization, culminating in a broader appreciation for teacher and teaching as separate yet intertwined.
Ep. 638 – Zen Mind Jewish Mind with Rabbi Rami Shapiro
Q: You grew up in this, and where did you live when you were growing up?
Rabbi Rami shares that he grew up in Springfield, Massachusetts, in an Orthodox home with afternoon Hebrew school, which shaped his early religious formation.
