I found this difficult to listen to - slow, rambly and a family in deep denial about how they enabled a spoiled (perpetual) college student. Sister is a character witness for her sister who steals and commits credit card fraud, but excuses it as an eating disorder. Cool Dad buys his college daughter alcohol and buys her a new car that she drives drunk and crashes, he doesn’t care and says the $500 is “no big deal.” Tons of burning drama with her boyfriend, yawn. A woman who was babied by her fam... more
I don’t recall when I first heard the story about when Maura Murray went missing but it stuck with me. Julia is doing a great job keeping her sister’s case active.
I pray that you find your sister someday soon. I am close to my siblings and I can’t begin to imagine how horrible it would be to have one go missing and have so few answers. Stay strong and ignore the trashy people.
This is one of the best podcasts I have ever listened to. The interviews with Maura’s family and friends are riveting and heartbreaking. Kudos to her sister and family to put the facts out there. I think there has been sloppy and/or shady police work in this case. So sad. I hope this podcast leads to the truth. Also, Fred you are amazing.
This case has been done by hundreds, probably of podcast in the last decade or more. Uninteresting and boring.
And I feel strongly, as painful as it may sound, that it’s pretty fairly obvious what happened to Maura Murray. She was driving drunk, got caught and took off and fled into the woods. Bottom line.
One of the best produced True Crime podcast I’ve ever gave a listen too !! Julie with her passion , zeal really draws the listener into the case !! Also the background music - noises are fabulous really has the listener sitting there present in each scene ! For example I felt like I was in that car waiting with Julie as her dad says you coming!! Amazing ! I know Julie’s Maura’s sister and maybe that’s the difference , but I’d listen to her engaging voice talk about the weather she’s that good !... more
