  • Great food for thought and self reflection!

I remember when Mark put out the "Mission of Trust" through his other podcast (Adventures in Design); that 10 part series was and has been a great tool to refocus what is important in life and my career. I eagerly waited for a presumed second series like the first, and assumed that it was cancelled, until I heard the Wake Up Call.

I enjoy all of Mark's work, but I've found this podcast to be a great tool to help me pull away for a second during the usual grind of my life in order to refocus and... more

  • Wake up call

Mark has been through it all when it comes to being a freelance designer and his brutal honesty reflects the trials that awaits us. He has a special way with words that cuts through the BS and gets to the point and I appreciate it. I made this and all his other creative endeavors a part of my day. Thanks Mark!

  • Get your morning dose of drive.

Wake Up Call has become a morning tradition for me now, where I just open it up and listen while I’m still in bed. Even though Brickey has said this was meant to be “his” wake up call, it’s amazing how a person can pull inspiration from someone else’s, and that each person that listens can take away something different and give them a new drive in their daily life.

  • Inspirational and Entertaining!

I've been an avid listener of Mark's daily podcast Adventures In Design (AID) for several years now and Wake Up Call is a great extension to this network of shows. I find Mark's unique perspective on life and creativity highly entertaining, inspirational and like all of his broadcasts, full of advice and tips to improve your creative living. I highly recommend Wake Up Call (and AID) to anyone, not just creative professionals.

  • Bite sized bits of creative wisdom.

Mark is the creative force behind the AID (Adventures In Design) Network. If you don’t have time for a full show, you can drop in here and get a bit of inspiration from a guy with decades of creative experience. Highly recommend adding this podcast to your own list.

And then check out the Adventures In Design podcast, VGHC Hammertime, Podcast: The Animated Series, or Comment Below. All of these shows are part of the AID Network, and while they are entertaining, they’re also informative.

  • Hits hard and provides a strong takeaway

I’ve always enjoyed the monologue portions of Adventures in Design that precede the interview, so putting that format into a bite-sized podcast is brilliant. Three episodes in, Brickey has covered some heavy topics with his brand of raw honesty, all in a way that leaves listeners with a solid takeaway. Subscribe and start your day with a Wake Up Call!

  • Great Addition to the A.I.D Network

I've been a member of the Circle of Trust for a few months now and love it. Best decision I've made and is invaluable to my design process just as much as my programs. This new series that Mark is doing is great. Short but to the point and a great talk to start the day.
