  • Craft Microbiome

I listen to Gary a lot. I am very disappointed he would platform someone fraudulent. After paying $500 for a stool test and my father-in-law paying another $500 for his, we have never heard back from craft after months. We’ve reached out to their customer service email, called, and even texted and nothing. Such a waste of time and money.

Thought the podcast sounded interesting only to find it’s MAHA and MAGA centric political references are a huge turnoff.

  • Talking too Much

I really enjoy this show and listen regularly; I’m so thankful for Gary Brecka and the information he shares. I have 4 stars because often times Gary talks too much vs simply asking his most intriguing guests basic questions and then allowing them to talk.

Q: For someone with high cortisol and relevant menopausal changes, what would be your key diagnostic approach and immediate step to take?
Assess hormone ratios via a Dutch test rather than snapshot hormones, identify whether overproduction or under-elimination is driving cortisol, and tailor interventions to rebalance the system while cautioning against treating from a single data point.
295. Methylation Test & MTHFR Gene - Healf Experience Wellbeing Event 2026 in London
Q: You mentioned fibroids and how they fit into your framework; could you elaborate on the domino that falls in fibroids?
Fibroids are driven by a cascade that often starts with insulin resistance and hormonal imbalances; imaging may show fibroids, but the root contributors include glucose regulation and hormone metabolism, which can be investigated with Dutch tests and addressing underlying deficiencies.
292. Dr. Josh Axe: Why Your "Normal" Bloodwork Is Lying to You and What to Test For Instead
Q: What role does traditional Chinese medicine play in modern healing, and how personalized should the approach be?
Traditional Chinese medicine is framed as highly personalized, using tongue diagnosis and pattern identification to tailor herbs, foods, and lifestyle changes; the guest argues that personalization surpasses one-size-fits-all diets and that combining Eastern principles with modern testing yields better outcomes for many patients.
292. Dr. Josh Axe: Why Your "Normal" Bloodwork Is Lying to You and What to Test For Instead
Q: How should someone interpret micronutrient testing, and what markers matter most for cellular health?
Micronutrient testing should focus on cellular levels (RBC markers) rather than serum alone, prioritizing magnesium, zinc, selenium, and B12; the discussion also highlights the importance of markers like APOB, Lp(a), and oxidative stress indicators (F2-isoprostanes) to gauge cardiovascular risk and systemic stress.
292. Dr. Josh Axe: Why Your "Normal" Bloodwork Is Lying to You and What to Test For Instead
Q: What are the must-have data points in a baseline blood panel, and why should we start upstream with cortisol and insulin?
The host and guest discuss starting with upstream markers like cortisol and insulin to identify the core metabolic dominoes, then expanding to fasting glucose, insulin, A1C, and a deep micronutrient panel to reveal hidden deficiencies that can impair healing—emphasizing markers like magnesium, zinc, folate, and B vitamins for cellular health.
