What's it like being in an interracial relationship? How do we navigate the expectations of our families, and society at large? And when does cultural difference become a challenge?
This episode, we talk animals and culture. How do we treat animals? And how does our culture inform this?
We talk about microaggressions - when racism, homophobia and other prejudice is experienced, even in 'small doses', it builds up and corrodes our sense of self and belonging.

I absolute love this podcast series! Zoya and Yen draw the perfect balance between storytelling and candid conversation. I appreciate how each episode explores a new theme of intersectionality while drawing on their real life experiences. It feels super relatable and authentic!
These peeps are funny and super smart and I’m so interested in hearing their perspectives. Yen’s story about visiting China with her mother was especially strong.
Yen and Zoya tackle complex and sometimes challenging subjects in such a warm and inviting way that it feels like you’re hanging out with your (extremely intelligent and cool) friends. Definitely worth a listen!
This is a smart, generous, engaging podcast helping me see the world through different perspectives. It’s entertaining and enlightening, and like eavesdropping on your smartest friends. Awesome production quality too!
