This is just gossip-y and short on critical thinking. Maybe if you like romance novels, you’ll like this podcast.
Saw this story on Dateline I think so I’d heard the whole sordid tale already but I appreciated the insight from the interviews in this podcast. Unfortunately I do have to somewhat agree about the narrator’s sometimes grating tone and cadence and flippant way of telling what is, after all, a very sad story of murder and loss. I did enjoy the podcast very much and it is a great story but I hope Dan as a victim wasn’t lost in the way it was told.
Like many Wondery true-crime podcasts - very well told, structured, and good sound quality. An interesting story, although perhaps somewhat limited by the fact that everyone who's read the Guardian's famous headline already knows it; "Woman who wrote article on 'How To Murder Your Husband' convicted of murdering husband". That said, the victim deserves more than to be a punchline, and the podcast tells his story too.
A man died. It’s not about your money or vacations. Waste of time.
I loved this - saw a few reviews saying the tone was off and I see how people can think that but I loved how it was done. The host actually reminded me of the desperate housewives narrator, it definitely reminded me of the way desperate housewives told the stories. Loved it, wish it was longer!
