The GracePointe community is leading the theological development and practice of Progressive Christianity. This is at the core of what makes us distinct, and is far from a simple label change for a modern repackaging of traditional beliefs.

Disguised as hopeful and attempting to appear genuine, this church teaches perpetual victimhood, fear, and hatred. The first message I listened to was recent (Nov ‘24), and within 4 minutes the speaker, was talking about how America was attacked on Jan 6, 2020. After doing a little research they also talk about white supremacy, gun reform/control, and other talking points in the “woke” arsenal…. From the stage. They don’t teach redemption & forgiveness of sins through the atonement of Christ, bu... more
This church recently posted the following,
“As Progressive Christians, we're open to the tensions and inconsistencies in the Bible. We know that it can't live up to impossible, modern standards. We strive to more clearly articulate what Scripture is and isn't.”
I think it’s good to strive to clearly articulate the Bible, by modern standards it definitely brings up tension in our culture. But if the Bible can’t live up to the standards for this church, then what does? Humanity?

I stumbled upon this podcast randomly through a google search. I thought I had lost my faith until I listened to the “Inherent Union with God” episode. Best rhetoric I have ever heard, and the overall emphasis on the mission of Jesus over salvation through his death changed my perspective. Truly cannot emphasize how amazing I think this church/podcast is. I listen all the time now. Wish I lived in Nashville
What a wonderful podcast. I am so grateful to have found this 🙏 as a progressive Christian Aussie, this is a breath of fresh air. Thank you.
I found this podcast randomly through a recommendation on Instagram. Started listening to it because of the teaching surrounding the biblical story of the demon Legion and the pigs. I don’t know this pastor, I’ve never even been to Tennessee but I’m so thankful for their ministry. My life has truly been enriched and my faith deepened because of Pastor Josh Scott’s genuine and gentle, thought provoking approach to teaching.
