  • Examen = Examination of Conscience

Jim Martin says the Examen is aka Examination of Conscience. I’ve read other Jesuits say they are different things. Unfortunately I don’t remember the locations of the alternate opinions so I can’t cite. Any clarification? Wouldn’t use the ratings to ask, but can’t find a more appropriate place. My favorite episode was the interview of Archbishop Jayson Gordon.

Hearing each of these guests shared how they are a ‘loved sinner’ in different ways, how they feel they are erratic pray-ers, learning more about all things Jesuit has been incredibly uplifting to me and has honestly strengthened my faith significantly. I find myself reflecting for days after listening. I talk to friends about what they thought of the episodes. I’ve talked with my mom and dad, esp... more
