  • Podcast arrangement needs a major improvement

These podcasts need more content more music. Some of the interviews are great! Others I feel I’m just hearing more Jackie and less from the artists. Really? Kreator and Miss May I to be specific

  • A lack of music

Too bad that Full Metal Jackie doesn’t add a few tracks from the artist or what the artist likes/influenced him/her

  • Typical annoying metal radio host

I found this podcast on High on Fire’s facebook page referring to a Matt Pike interview. It was 14 minute duration and half of it was the host blabbering about upcoming stuff on the show. I’m 47 and just don’t have patience for time wasting. I listened to the Rob Halford, Barney Greenway and Matt Pike. No more for me. I can’t take this radio host.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Riley Pinkerton of Castle Rat on the FMJ RADIO SHOW!
Q: Can you talk about the Kickstarter experience and what it meant for fan engagement and expectation?
Hitting the goal in 37 minutes was mind-blowing and created a sense of responsibility to deliver; fans feel they have a stake in the band's future, which is both empowering and pressure-inducing in a good way.
Riley Pinkerton of Castle Rat on the FMJ RADIO SHOW!
Q: What was your approach to collaboration on this record, and can you share a moment when a collaboration shaped a song like Serpent?
We scrapped an early version of Serpent, wrote it together in the room, and integrated parts from different members, ending up with a chorus that many of us felt was truly special.
Riley Pinkerton of Castle Rat on the FMJ RADIO SHOW!
Q: Riley, how did the visual presentation influence your musical direction on The Bestiary?
The visuals grew out of a Halloween experience and became a core part of the show; the music always comes first, but the theatrics evolved because it felt fun and liberating, so we ran with it while keeping the core sound intact.
Scott Vogel of Terror on FMJ RADIO!
Q: What does it mean to have music as a means of expression to work through things?
He describes music as a cathartic outlet that lets listeners connect to emotions, sometimes in ways that differ from the artist's original intention, but ultimately creating a shared emotional experience.
Scott Vogel of Terror on FMJ RADIO!
Q: Was there anything in particular fueling this record?
Vogel explains that the lyrics are tightly tied to his personal journey away from heavy drinking, using Still Suffer as a direct look at that experience and its consequences.
