Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode 246: Precious Metal Investing for Everyone with Kristen Nagle
Q: How did you start investing in precious metals and what steps can listeners take to begin?
I started with small silver purchases from a local coin dealer and later moved to a platform that allows fractional gold and silver purchases, so anyone can begin with as little as a dollar. The key is to test the waters with lower amounts, learn how the platform works, and gradually increase exposure as comfort grows.
Episode 246: Precious Metal Investing for Everyone with Kristen Nagle
Q: What led you to look into precious metals as part of your financial plan?
After experiencing job loss and debt in 2020-2021, I realized traditional retirement plans weren't sufficient for our situation. I learned about fiat currency and the limitations of the current system, which pushed me toward a savings strategy in gold and silver that could be built gradually and become a real asset for my family.
Episode 244: Achieving Financial Freedom in 10 Years or Less with Ryan Lee
Q: How can overfunded life insurance be used as a banking-like mechanism to fuel real estate investments?
Overfunded life insurance creates a cash value that can be borrowed against to fund down payments, while the policy's growth factors (guaranteed returns, dividends) remain tax-advantaged, enabling a cycle of leveraging insurance to buy property and paying back loans with rents.
Episode 242: Building Your Paycheck in Retirement with Laura Rehbein
Q: Is that a question figuring out how much is enough?
I believe it's something you should be thinking way before that, because if you're not thinking about how much might I need when I retire, how do you know if you're saving enough?
Episode 242: Building Your Paycheck in Retirement with Laura Rehbein
Q: What tips do you have for folks to successfully change that way of thinking?
You need to know how much you can spend, and measure your money against the job it needs to do.
