We take in the X-Men as it's meant to be enjoyed, with clockwork orange style devices to pry open our eyes. Married couple, Allison and Matt Parent do deep dives into the good, the bad, the squishy and weird X-Men stories. Allison is a newbie to comics and Matt is going to talk about it endlessly to them whether they record it or not.

  • Everyone should listen to this podcast RIGHT NOW !!!!

I love this podcast! Matt and Allison have exactly the type of humor that I vibe with, and are genuinely so fun and nice to listen to. Been listening for months now, and every episode is uniquely fun and a great listen. Only “complaint” I have is the fact that there should be more of my favourites, The New Mutants (lol). Generally, 9.9/10. When they finally have the chance to finish X-Force V1 it’ll be a 10. Anyway, if you’re an X-Fan, you’ll love this podcast! It’s great!

Listening now- I can’t believe there was any question wether I enjoyed myself. You guys had really great questions and insights on a book that — while maybe a blip— I really loved making. Thanks for having me.

  • Ready for Revelations!

Most recent episode was awesome!! Will say though, Doug/Cypher was on both X-Factor and X-Force. During the Second Coming event Doug was sent with the X-Force to take down a Master Mold. And Cypher and Warlock were both part of the private Serval Industries X-Factor, the X-Factor team during the Bendis era

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Mojoverse Premium: Speed Racer Interview with David Pepose
Q: What is Speed Racer about in Pepose's take, and how does it translate to a comics format?
Speed Racer is Rocky in a race car, about a young driver's journey from underground racing to the professional arena while navigating personal connections and underground pressures, with a focus on turning fast-paced racing into compelling, character-driven drama on the page.
Mojoverse Premium: Exceptional X-Men Talkback with Eve L. Ewing
Q: What is the heart of X-Men United and the question you set out to answer?
The core question is whether the X-Men can work together with a shared vision, especially when leadership and perspectives differ. The discussion highlights how the team's dynamics, including Emma Frost leading on some fronts and other members guiding in different ways, test their ability to unite without being driven solely by crisis.
Mojoverse Premium: Exceptional X-Men Talkback with Eve L. Ewing
Q: What is Exceptional X-Men about, in your view?
She explains that the series centers on youth—the ongoing experience of growing up—and on how a big historic moment interacts with that ongoing process. The book explores what it means to be a mutant and how different generations and personalities within the same team navigate power, responsibility, and relationships.
Mojoverse Premium: Exceptional X-Men Talkback with Eve L. Ewing
Q: What is your early history with comics as a reader?
Eve describes starting with Archie comics, moving through licensed properties, and eventually entering superhero storytelling, with early TV influences like Batman: The Animated Series shaping her sense of drama and character. She emphasizes how childhood exposure informed her later approach to writing characters with depth and texture.
Mojoverse Premium: Dan Watters Batman Dark Patterns Talkback
Q: What is Batman Dark Patterns by Dan Watters and Hayden Sherman about?
It's about Batman solving a set of mysteries across a four-arc structure that allows exploration of different sides of Gotham through a very human, detective-driven Batman rather than focusing on Bruce Wayne, with a strong emphasis on mood, urban decay, and a grounded crime narrative.
