We take in the X-Men as it's meant to be enjoyed, with clockwork orange style devices to pry open our eyes. Married couple, Allison and Matt Parent do deep dives into the good, the bad, the squishy and weird X-Men stories. Allison is a newbie to comics and Matt is going to talk about it endlessly to them whether they record it or not.

  • Everyone should listen to this podcast RIGHT NOW !!!!

I love this podcast! Matt and Allison have exactly the type of humor that I vibe with, and are genuinely so fun and nice to listen to. Been listening for months now, and every episode is uniquely fun and a great listen. Only “complaint” I have is the fact that there should be more of my favourites, The New Mutants (lol). Generally, 9.9/10. When they finally have the chance to finish X-Force V1 it’ll be a 10. Anyway, if you’re an X-Fan, you’ll love this podcast! It’s great!

Listening now- I can’t believe there was any question wether I enjoyed myself. You guys had really great questions and insights on a book that — while maybe a blip— I really loved making. Thanks for having me.

Matt and Allison are so fun to listen to. Their commentary is hilarious and Matt’s knowledge of most characters is so impressive. A perfect dynamic. Can’t wait to listen to them dig into the Ultimate Universe!

  • Ready for Revelations!

Most recent episode was awesome!! Will say though, Doug/Cypher was on both X-Factor and X-Force. During the Second Coming event Doug was sent with the X-Force to take down a Master Mold. And Cypher and Warlock were both part of the private Serval Industries X-Factor, the X-Factor team during the Bendis era

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Mojoverse Premium Jackson Lanzing and Collin Kelly on You'll Never Leave the Place Alive, Star Trek The Last Starship and Dungeons and Dragons
Q: What was the swing for The Last Starship and how did it come about?
The biggest swing was introducing an entirely new cast while making Star Trek play as a smaller, more intimate story; reviving Captain Kirk as a narrative focal point to expose emotional depth and create tension, while still honoring the franchise's core themes of hope.
Mojoverse Premium: Cable Love and Chrome Talk Back with David Pepose
Q: How do you keep Space Ghost and Speed Racer feeling authentic while you're writing Cable in a romance-driven story?
You lean into the Bones of the bones—Space Ghost and Speed Racer provide a nostalgic backbone, but the core is Cable's personal journey and romance. The goal is to let the past inform the present while keeping the emotional stakes front and center.
Ep 68: New Mutants Forever with Sara Century
Q: What was your initial reaction to New Mutants Forever, Sara?
I found it bananas and very offbeat, the kind of nostalgia book that surprises you with how far it goes, especially in its Hellfire Club setup and the Nazi imagery; despite that, there are standout sequences and strong character moments, notably around Celine and Amara.
DNX Preview with Jed MacKay
Q: Why include the Fantastic Four in the crossover instead of keeping it X-Men vs. Avengers?
Publishing decisions shifted the lineup, and bringing in the Fantastic Four allows a natural fit for science-driven plotlines and a family-team dynamic that complements the X-Men setup, while Tom (editor) kept things cohesive across books.
DNX Preview with Jed MacKay
Q: What is the pitch for folks on the fence about DNX?
DNX is the big fight we've been building toward from X-Men #1, with clear winners and losers but a storyline that reshapes the team and leaves a substantial footprint on the world, signaling a transformative direction for the book.
