  • Fairly positive

One of the better American revolution pod casts .seems well balanced without one sided views or inflammatory language that many of the others contain. Sometimes the sound quality is poor., but I like the use of the numerous authors and guests .

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Disagreeable Situation: American Prisoner Administration with Dr. Susan Brynne Long
Q: What surprised you during your research?
The involvement of women was something I thought I would have to really kind of dig for, but I found women in almost every single corner of this research.
250th of the Battle of Great Bridge
Q: Do you think that's an apt comparison there?
Yes, it was a bunker hill in miniature, only they only had one man wounded in the hand.
250th of the Battle of Great Bridge
Q: Was that one soldier who died, is that the first known casualty of a Virginian during the war?
Yes, it is the first known casualty, John Actus, who was 19 years old.
A Perfect Frenzy: Lord Dunmore in Virginia, 1775-1776
Q: Can you share with us the origins that eventually gets you to your publication of A Perfect Frenzy?
I was dragged by my grandparents to the churchyard where we would look at a cannonball wedged into the corner of an old church, which sparked my interest in Lord Dunmore as the ultimate villain.
French & Indian War: Fort Ligonier and the Forbes Expedition
Q: How would you describe your day-to-day role as the Director of Education at Fort Ligonier?
Matt shares that his responsibilities include creating programming for students and visitors, ensuring that history is exciting and engaging.
