Like the title says. The podcast is decent, but there are better out there. I would recommend the T.O.P. Podcast by Michael Dimatteo. Dimatteo does a great job at looking at the influence literature plays in history. And unlike this podcast he doesn’t apply modern day morals to historical figures. When you do that, like this podcast does constantly, you degrade historical significance.
This used to be a much more interesting pod cast. Now it feels very agenda driven. Information is not necessarily incorrect, but they will make sure you know all details around the subjects views on racial identity , the marginalized roles of women, etc. These figures of history were obviously deeply faulted individuals with these views but you can focus on some the interesting and the good they did as well.
