  • Good podcast

This is a good podcast which spans many years. It is a shame, however that at this writing in 2025 it is clear that the American experiment is dead, crushed under the boots of Trump’s authoritarian government

  • Rediscovering History and I Love It!

My history education consisted of reading text book chapters and memorizing dates for tests. This podcast has a bittersweet effect in that it you'll fall in love with US History, but may feel cheated by the academic system.

Thank you for deepening my appreciation and understanding.

  • Just right!

This podcast has a great balance between the depth of the content being discussed and the pacing of the story. It moves fast enough to be interesting (with some great touches of humor snuck in) and yet goes deep enough so that you come away with an understanding of the “why” things happened - not just a recitation of historical events. Highly recommend!

I started listening to this podcast a month or so ago, around the 250th anniversary of the beginning of the Revolutionary War. I was looking for the best in depth podcast on the subject and this is it! Wonderful job. I’ve had it on loop ever since. Thank you for this great work.
