Reviews

4.4 out of 5 stars from 42 ratings
  • Episodes removed

To the people giving this show one star reviews because they’ve had to remove episodes for legal reasons: these guys are trying to help people suffering from trauma despite dealing with their own. Your intense curiosity in a subject does not overrule their legal obligations. Giving the show a low rating only suppresses their voice further. If you’re unhappy with suppression laws, criticise the people responsible for them. Do you honestly expect them to break the law for your own entertainment?

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I got a lot of inspiration from this one episode where Talia shared her tool kit. I hope you keep going with your podcast because you are doing incredibly helpful work. I found it useful and I'm sure others do. Thanks for the links to Great Meditation and to EFT, which was new to me.

Q: Are there particular instances that you know of that tend to recur in which people may prefer to use a white cane or another aid as opposed to a dog?
People might prefer using a white cane instead of a guide dog due to convenience, such as being able to fold the cane and the responsibilities that come with dog ownership.
Ebony and John Cuturilo, special episode on Guide Dogs Australia
Q: What are some things that you think people should know about their rights in a public place or when dealing with not just disability services, but in other parties in general?
Many people are not aware that it is illegal to deny access to public spaces when accompanied by a guide dog, and there are rights regarding access that can often be overlooked.
Tim on drinking culture, mental health and the importance of reaching out for help.
Q: Can you take us through where you were, I guess around two years ago now and how you got to where you are today?
Tim describes a long journey of struggles that led him to a breakdown, an attempt on his life, and eventually seeking help through therapy.
Tangaroa on smoking Marijuana at 5, active addiction and breaking intergenerational cycles.
Q: What advice would you give them or any piece of hope would you give to them?
You've got to look in the mirror and take an honest look at yourself. The past doesn't have to define you now, and you need to want more for yourself.
Imran on body dysmorphia, childhood sexual abuse as a male, loving the shadow and the light.
Q: What would be some advice that you would give any sort of male that was challenged with childhood trauma?
Find people that you trust and build that sharing of stories. If you can talk about your experiences, hopefully that builds a bridge of repair slowly.
