  • Terrible production.

Not only is the audio the worst of any prodcast, the episodes are often posted a week late.

  • Please fix audio

As many noted Vassy is fantastic but the very poor audio quality makes it difficult to listen to.

  • Please Fix the Audio

Vassy is the best, as usual, but the audio makes the podcast nigh unlistenable. It sounds like Vassy is speaking into one of those children’s karaoke reverb mics inside of a trash can full of mirrors.

The reverb and silblance is crazy, please fix this on this podcast and the main power play podcast.

  • Vassy is good; content is fine — but…

… the audio is horrible. It sounds like interviews are conducted in a cold steel culvert under the 401 on a holiday weekend.

Still a problem as of Ep#497. Time for a staff change?

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

CTV QP Podcast #531: Premier Danielle Smith on referendum
Q: But you didn't run Premier on any of this in the last election. What explains the timing and democratic reasoning behind this move?
Premier Smith argued that there is a citizen initiative process and that there were petitions with broad support; she also emphasized the need to address the ongoing frustration and to let Albertans debate and decide, even if it wasn't part of the 2023 campaign platform.
CTV QP Podcast #529: Jason Kenney among the victims in the Alberta data breach
Q: Do you think in principle that pursuing civil remedies is worth it?
Kenney indicates a belief that there should be consequences and suggests considering civil legal remedies, while acknowledging the broader goal of accountability.
CTV QP Podcast #529: Jason Kenney among the victims in the Alberta data breach
Q: As you heard that your name was part of this, what went through your mind?
Kenney describes immediate concerns for personal safety and the need to take prudent security steps, while noting the broader threat context and determination to address the breach seriously.
CTV QP Podcast #526: How would Canada fare in a global recession?
Q: What are the main risks to Canada's economy right now?
Poloz emphasizes a mixed risk: a meaningful probability of recession driven by global energy shocks, tariffs, and supply-chain disruptions, with Canada potentially cushioned by oil revenues but facing sectoral divergences.
CTV QP Podcast #525: Political analysts discuss what the recent defections mean for Pierre Poilievre’s grip on the Conservative leadership
Q: What does Marilyn Gladue's defection mean for the Conservative leadership and its stability?
It signals significant fragility in the party's unity and raises questions about Poilievre's ability to keep MPs aligned, especially as defections threaten to alter the parliamentary arithmetic and momentum.
