  • Thoughtful, but "Right?"

Interesting conversations and POVs from seasoned journalists and political reps, which makes the constant need for validation/approval/agreement all the more puzzling. Don't you all know if what you're saying is "Right?" without continually asking listeners to justify your thoughts? This is especially head-scratching when it's Mr. Mansbridge alone in the outro, still asking the unseen, unheard listener if he's right. As per a joke self-help course on offer in an episode of The Simpsons, "Get Som... more

  • Sensible and thoughtful discussion

Thanks to Peter, Bruce, Chantal, Janice, the Ranter, & all the guests. Janice Stein is epic in connecting the dots. I love listening to to letters from public. Democracy is reliant on accurate electorate info. I need to hear from people wiser than me to process the confusion and turmoil. Many thanks to you all.

  • Excellent for Canadians abroad

Peter is an icon, but one that hasn’t let it go to his head. This is the perfect way for a Canadian abroad to stay abreast of Canadian politics. Good talk is my favorite show. But smoke and mirrors and the truth is also excellent; it’s refreshing to have two guests representing different sides of the political

spectrum have an intelligent and civil

debate. Keep up the great work!

  • Rambling Host

The various panels are usually pretty insightful and interesting to listen to. The host can be really annoying as he keeps repeating himself and rambles too often. I usually fast forward as soon as he starts talking…
