Canadaa month ago - Facts do matter, even if they don’t support your argument
When Kory Teneycke mansplains aircraft operating details to Jordan he should use facts. Jets are actually louder or at best the same as the Porter Airlines’ DASH or Q400. What affects people in the neighbourhood is how long an aircraft is nearby and at low altitude. Porter’s turboprop is at altitude and turning away towards the lake well before a jet could. The jets are close to shore longer and are lower longer, so appear noisier. Ref: ICAO Chapter 14 with EPNdB margins.
